Mercia's father was the prince of Mistico Terra Kingdom. Her mother, a natural born vampire from Pheonix City. When the worlds were united, her mother journeyed into the world of Mistico Terra, and found herself inside the kingdom of Mistico Terra. Her father saved her mother from hunters, though he did not know what kind of hunters. They married and had Mercia. Soon after, her father recieved news that his wife was a vampire, a creature most hated and disliked by the people of Mistico Terra Kingdom. He could not have a vampire for a wife, or a vampire for a daughter, so he had his wife beheaded and his daughter sent to live with the poorest of families in Mistico Terra. Not knowing what she was, she would get sick almost to the point of dying, as she would eat human food, not knowing that blood is what she thirsted after. One day, while playing with the other children in Mistico Terra Kingdom, one of the children got hurt pretty badly, bleeding all over the place. The scent of his blood filled Mercia with hunger, and she almost attacked him. Her adoptive mother had been watching and stopped her from hurting the boy, by taking her inside. After Mercia calmed down, her adoptive parents told her what they knew of her parents, particularly the fact that her mother was a vampire. They told her they had thought that they would be able to stop her from turning into the blood thirsty sort, if they had her eating human food. She was 12 at the time, but that night, she decided to leave her parents and go on a self-discovering journey.
She found herself in Phoenix city, living there for years. It wasn't until she had mentioned her birth mother's name, that she had found out the rest of the story. Her mother was the kind of vampire that held revolts against the evil blood thirsty vampires that preyed on humans like a wolf to a sheep. Mercia also learned that her father, in finding out her mother was a vampire, had her mother beheaded, despite the fact that her mother was not an evil sort of vampire. She grew angrier and angrier, day after day, until finally she journeyed to Mistico Terra Kingdom, to see her birth father. He mistook her for her mother, and tried to kill her, thus making her even angrier with him, and resulting in her in a fit of blood lust, killing him, and partaking of his blood.
Mercia went on the run for awhile, but discovered that no one had seen, nor recognized her, and no one really cared that her father (whom was king at the time) had been killed. The townspeople had all just assumed god answered their prayers, as her father had been the sort of King that kept all his people in fear, and most of the townspeople had been close to death due to taxing her father had put on the kingdom. Very few of them were able to afford food, and many of them were kicked out of their homes because they could no longer pay their taxes to the king. And when her father died, the royal bloodline as far as anyone knew, died with him. Thus Mistico Terra Kingdom became a city of people governing themselves, which worked out pretty well for awhile. Mercia returned to Mistico Terra years later, however, to find most of the worlds at war, right around Mistico Terra City. As she was half-vampire, she had a lot to fear from the people of Mistico Terra City, whom were fighting off vampires, and werewolves, and were slaying and stealing from any strangers that came to town, that they thought for sure was a vampire or a werewolf. She journeyed to Cresentia Moon, and found herself living in the ruins of Mura Genkei.

Finally, when she did venture into the ruins of the castle in Mura Genkei, she found herself in a beautiful room full of light, with golden walls that shimmered with the light in the center of the room. As she ventured to the light, she found herself engulfed in its light, and a voice spoke to her. The mystical being, the soul of a once great magical kingdom, told her to return to Mistico Terra to create order throughout the worlds. The light absorbed into her body, and she found that it gave her power. When she woke, she found herself in the care of Kurai-Tsuki Tradger, the only surviving member of the Ashkendi Tribe, the people of Mura Genkei. She told him of her experience, and he suggested she listen to the mystical soul of the Ashkendi. He even joined her in returning home, and creating order. They met a few people/creatures on their journey to restore peace, Katherine being one of them. All three of them grew to be great friends, and started the IWK together. Mercia and Kurai-Tsuki fell madly in love, and were married just a few years later. Since that time, peace has reigned through the worlds, at least out in the open. Mercia and Kurai-Tsuki just 23 years before now, found, and took in a baby girl, whom they named Venus Sun, as she was a very pretty little baby, and her blonde hair was bright and shiny, much like the sun.
